How deep and wide should your dining table be?

After determining the optimal table height, it's also important to choose the right dimensions for the tabletop when selecting the ideal dining table for you. The depth and width of a dining table should primarily depend on the spatial conditions, but also on the number of people who will regularly sit at it. Allow at least 60 cm in width and 40 cm in depth per person – this ensures everyone has enough room to move comfortably.

Tip: Add around 20 cm to the depth to allow enough space in the middle of the table for bowls, pots, and decorations.
